Samsung Galaxy Features That Will Improve Your User Experience
Samsung Galaxy devices are known for their advanced features and sleek design. These devices come packed with a wide range of tools and features to make your experience more efficient and user-friendly. In this article, we’ll take a look at some of the most essential features that you should try on your Samsung Galaxy device to make it more user-friendly.
Access Notification History
With the notification history feature, you can view all the notifications you received from a specific app in the last 24 hours, even if you accidentally dismissed them. To enable this feature:
- Go to your device Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Go to Advanced Settings.
- Toggle on Notification History.
Once turned on, your phone will start saving notifications you receive throughout the day. To keep things organized, it’ll automatically categorize them based on the apps that sent them.
Use Edge Panels for Quick Access
The edge panels feature acts as mini drawers that you can pull out from the side of the screen, providing quick access to your favourite apps, as well as a variety of actions such as making calls, taking screenshots and checking the weather. To enable this feature:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Display.
- Toggle on Edge Panels.
Once you enable it, a handle will appear on the right side of your screen. Swipe it inwards to open and access your panels. You can populate the Apps panel with your favourite apps (up to 22 apps) by tapping the hamburger icon and selecting Edit.
Delete Shared Screenshots
Automatically delete screenshots after you share them from the screenshot toolbar to clear up storage space. To enable this feature:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Select Screenshots and Screen Recorder.
- Toggle on Delete Shared Screenshots.
Remember, the screenshot toolbar only appears for a couple of seconds after you take a screenshot. So if you miss it, your screenshot will be saved in your gallery, and you’ll have to delete it manually afterwards.
Use the Secure Folder for Better Sleep
The Secure folder feature allows you to keep your personal and business data separate and secure by creating a separate and encrypted space on your device. To enable this feature:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Biometrics and Security.
- Select Secure folder.
Automate Your Phone with Routines
The Routines feature allows you to change device settings based on your usage patterns and daily routine. You can use Routines to automate your entire day, such as setting your phone to silent mode when you’re in a meeting or turning on your GPS when you’re driving.
Change the Notification Pop Up Style
You can customize the look of notification pop-ups to make them less or more noticeable. Here’s how to do that:
- Open your device Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Go to Brief Pop-Up Settings.
- Select Edge Lighting Style.
You can change the pop-up effect, colour, transparency and duration from here.
